Global Semiconductor Industry Updates

1. The Malaysian government is collaborating with Google to provide AI tools to 445,000 civil servants.

China Semiconductor Industry Updates

2. It has been reported that SAIC-GM is shutting down its Beisheng factory, affecting approximately 2,000 employees.  

3. Slkor (www.slkormicro.com) and Kinghelm’s official mobile app has successfully passed the China Copyright Protection Center's review and obtained a computer software copyright registration certificate.  

4. Tongguang Semiconductor has launched a project to produce 200,000 8-inch silicon carbide single crystal substrates annually, with a total investment of 882 million yuan.  

5. Meishe Company won a final ruling in its lawsuit against ByteDance, claiming that eight of its products, including TikTok, had plagiarized its code. ByteDance was ordered to pay 82.67 million yuan in damages.  

6. Baidu has officially announced that starting from 12:00 AM on April 1st, its Wenxin Yiyan AI model will be available for free to all users.
