1. Onsemi has announced its plan to acquire Allegro Microsystems for $6.9 billion.  

2. Japanese semiconductor startup Rapidus began commissioning its chip manufacturing equipment on April 1, with plans to start trial production of advanced semiconductors by the end of April.  

3. AI company OpenAI has completed a round of funding, bringing its valuation (including the raised funds) to $300 billion.  

4. The global smartphone AP-SoC market share rankings for Q4 2024 have been revealed: MediaTek at 34%, Apple at 23%, Qualcomm at 21%, and UNISOC at 14%.

China Semiconductor Industry Updates

1. The 13th China Electronics Fair (CITE2025) will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian) from April 9 to 11.  

2. The 2025 China Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Conference will take place at the Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi, Jiangsu, on April 16.  

3. Chip engine technology company has released its full-scenario, high-end autonomous driving 7nm chip "Xingchen 1," along with a complete range of smart cockpit and smart driving solutions.  

4. Xpeng Motors delivered a total of 94,008 smart electric vehicles in Q1 2025, a 331% year-on-year increase.  

5. ZhiXin Technology Group Limited has signed an agreement with the East Lake High-tech Zone in Wuhan to establish the ZhiXin Technology Wuhan R&D Center in Optics Valley.  

6. In Q2 2025, a major project commencement event will be held in Jingmen City, with 216 projects, each worth over 100 million yuan, starting construction, with a total investment of 103.1 billion yuan.
