Global Semiconductor Industry Updates

2. Magnachip Semiconductor Corp. will shut down its display business by the end of the second quarter of 2025.

3. Microsoft’s joint venture in China, Shanghai Mico Software, has announced a layoff of 2,000 employees.

4. On April 9, 2025, the “Electronic Components Supply Chain Forum” organized by the Electronic Components Application and Supply Chain Branch (ECAS) of the China Information Industry Chamber of Commerce concluded successfully at the Shenzhen Futian Convention and Exhibition Center. The forum, titled "Collaborative Breakthrough for Global Expansion," saw participation from key members of Slkor/Kinghelm's overseas marketing team, including Qiu Huilin, Song Yuanming, and Guo Yumei.

China Semiconductor Industry Updates

1. Semiconductor equipment manufacturer Tuojing Technology announced it plans to jointly establish an Integrated Circuit Equipment and Components Innovation Center with the Shenyang State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).

2. Xinpju Semiconductor’s 50,000 KK Micro LED MiP research and production project has officially launched at HeDa Semiconductor Valley.

3. Slkor (www.slkormicro.com) has successfully completed its ISO9001 Quality Management System certification renewal.

4. Silan Micro’s second-generation SiC chip production line is ramping up capacity, while its fourth-generation SiC chips and modules have been sent for sampling and are expected to begin mass production this year.

5. Rockchip has responded to rumors about “Samsung wafer fabs halting all business in China,” calling them false.

6. Zhongke Lanyun achieved a revenue of 1.819 billion yuan in 2024, with sales of wireless audio chips surpassing 2 billion units.
