Huawei, it's hard not to be far ahead in thought

release time:2023-10-19Author source:SlkorBrowse:6655

On October 16-17, Apple CEO Tim Cook showcased his trip to Sichuan, China through his personal Weibo account. Interestingly, on October 17th, the term "Huawei's sales in China have surpassed Apple" trended on Weibo's hot search list.

Driven by brands such as Huawei, Xiaomi, and Honor, the sales of smartphones in China have shown year-on-year growth. However, at the same time, iPhone sales have experienced a significant decline. During the first 17 days of iPhone 15's launch and sales in China, the sales volume was 4.5% less than its predecessor. This was mainly attributed to the unexpected debut of Huawei Mate 60 Pro, which boosted Huawei's overall sales surpassing Apple. This has led Huawei to replace Apple and take the top spot in the recent segment of the Chinese smartphone market share.

The lukewarm sales of the new iPhone 15 in China reflect the continued weak consumer demand and the rise of competitors like Huawei. Due to "slower-than-expected recovery of consumer demand," global smartphone sales declined by 8% in the third quarter, and both Apple and Samsung lost market share to competing brands.

1. Huawei smartphones have surpassed Apple in sales in China.

Since September, Huawei smartphones have shown the strongest momentum in sales in China, with a sales share growth of up to 19.4% during October 2-8, ranking first in the market!

The sales of Huawei Mate60 Pro this year may reach as high as 6 million units, while Huawei sold about 22 million smartphones last year.

On the day of the release of Huawei Mate 60 Pro, it was sold out within an hour; many offline direct stores in China had hundreds of people lining up every day, and online stores were also quickly sold out. During the National Day holiday, a visit to Huawei's offline stores showed that the Mate 60 series phone display cabinet was full of customers trying out the devices, with only Mate 60 available in stock, and there were no stocks of Pro and Pro+ versions, which needed to be preordered, and there was no fixed time for delivery.

To seize market share, the two major brands have increased their vertical layout in the industrial chain, opening a new round of "hiring boom" in production factories and OEM factories to continuously increase market supply. In recent years, Apple has deliberately adjusted its industrial chain and deployed the production of products such as iPhone to places like India.

2. Unmatched brilliance and excellence

Liudehua attended the launch event in person and served as the brand ambassador for Huawei Mate 60 RS Extraordinary Master. For both superstars Liudehua and Xie Tingfeng to endorse Huawei, some netizens commented, 'After Lui Dehua, now comes Xie Tingfeng, this time for Mate X5, truly unmatched brilliance and excellence.'

3. "Hardcore enough, trendy enough, and witty enough."

On October 16th, Xie Tingfeng was officially announced once again, and the news quickly surged to the top of the trending searches. Netizens expressed: "No limits, no boundaries. With pioneers and reaching new peaks, it will be difficult for Huawei smartphones not to lead by a wide margin."

4. Leading by a wide margin and receiving a big order.

China Mobile's recent purchase of 1.2 million units of Huawei Mate 60 Equity Edition and four other models is a normal customized version (Equity Edition) procurement by China Mobile. "Huawei is willing to work with China Mobile and industry partners to create a differentiated user experience around the three native advantages of 5G: high speed, low latency, and massive connectivity. We will continue to develop more popular applications that consumers can't put down and scale up 5G industry application solutions."

First, China Mobile's "crazy purchase" of 1.2 million Huawei smartphones attracted attention, followed by Huawei's "Petal Pay" receiving approval from the central bank.

In the past month, the consecutive launches of new models from Huawei and Apple injected new vitality into the high-end smartphone market. As one of the few tracks that can maintain warmth, high-end devices have become a new driving force for smartphone market growth. The mobile phone supply chain industry has also experienced a "celebration." Huawei's related industry chain suppliers such as Jierong Technology and Huaying Technology have seen increases. Several Apple manufacturers in China, including Hualuan, Lansukeji, and Feilongda, have achieved net profit growth of over 100% year-on-year.

As long as we work together, we can always find our own path. Faced with the hegemonic treaties of the West, we believe that more domestic products can rise and go global!
