The SMF7.5A, newly launched by Slkor, is a compact transient voltage suppression diode packaged in the SOD-123FL form factor, specifically designed for low-voltage electronic circuit protection. The device features a 7.5V reverse working voltage (VRWM), a minimum breakdown voltage (VBR min) of 8.33V, and a maximum clamping voltage (VC) of just 12.9V, with reverse leakage current (IR) controlled below 50μA. These precise parameters make it an ideal protection solution for 5V and 3.3V low-voltage systems.

The rapid response time is the core competitive advantage of the SMF7.5A. The device adopts Slkor's proprietary avalanche breakdown technology, with a response time of less than 1 nanosecond. It effectively protects against transient interferences such as ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) according to IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4, and EFT (Electrical Fast Transient) pulses per IEC 61000-4-4. At the SEMICON China exhibition, Slkor engineers demonstrated in real-time how the SMF7.5A could precisely limit transient high voltage on a 7.5V line to below 12.9V under an 8/20μs standard lightning strike test waveform, earning recognition from many professional visitors for its protective performance.

These improvements make the device particularly suitable for voltage-sensitive low-power IoT devices and portable electronics.

Wearable devices such as TWS (True Wireless Stereo) earbuds are a key application area for the SMF7.5A. These products typically use 5V power for charging cases, with extremely limited space. The compact SOD-123FL package (measuring just 2.5mm × 1.8mm × 1.1mm) and low leakage current characteristics of the SMF7.5A perfectly meet these demands, and several well-known audio manufacturers have already adopted this device in their latest designs.
The smart home sector also presents significant potential. With the growing popularity of the Matter protocol, smart home devices require more reliable circuit protection to ensure stable interconnectivity. Slkor demonstrated the SMF7.5A’s application in Zigbee and Thread modules, where the device not only provides effective protection against electrostatic discharge but also ensures that wireless signal transmission quality remains unaffected due to its low capacitance characteristics (typical value of 50pF).
