The SMF20CA is a bidirectional TVS transient voltage suppression diode, featuring several outstanding performance metrics. Its reverse working voltage (Vrwm) is 20V, meaning the diode remains in a cutoff state under normal operating conditions and does not interfere with the circuit’s normal operation. When exposed to a transient voltage surge, if the voltage exceeds the breakdown voltage range (minimum value: 22.2V, maximum value: 24.5V), the diode rapidly conducts and clamps the excessive voltage within a safe range, with a maximum clamping voltage of 32.4V. This effectively protects other components in the circuit. Additionally, the reverse leakage current (Ir) of the diode is as low as 1.0uA, ensuring almost no power consumption in standby mode, meeting the emerging industries' demand for low power consumption.
