Li Shaoshuai, the Sales Manager at Kinghelm Electronics, formerly a military professional, joined our company with no prior sales experience. Li Shaoshuai, reflecting on this performance surge, shared several key insights:

 

Step 1: Understand the Product

The first lesson in sales is to deeply understand the company's products or services. Only by being thoroughly knowledgeable about the products being sold, such as the Kinghelm products (antennas and connectors), can one confidently engage with clients and handle interactions smoothly. Product knowledge is the cornerstone of sales.

 

Step 2: Master the Art of Communication  

Sales involves not just talking but also listening. Understanding client needs and empathizing with their pain points is crucial for providing appropriate solutions. Communication is both an art and a weapon! Persistently following up with each potential client at least three times significantly improves conversion rates.


Step 3: Data Analysis and Goal Setting  

Numbers do not lie. Learning to analyze sales data, set reasonable goals, and track progress is essential. This helps in understanding market dynamics and maintaining awareness. Shaoshuai established client profiles, thoroughly analyzed each client's needs, recorded communication results, and periodically reviewed data, leading to a notable increase in the closing rate.

 

Step 4: Learn Sales Techniques  

Sales techniques can be continuously improved through learning and practice. From basic questioning techniques to complex negotiation strategies, every bit of progress enhances sales performance. Techniques need to be honed through practice to achieve true mastery.

When introducing the development history of Kinghelm and Slkor, Mr. Song Shiqiang, General Manager of Slkor, outlined the following milestones:

 

In 2015, SLKOR successfully mass-produced SiC power devices, SiC MOS, and SiC SBD in collaboration with a team from Yonsei University, South Korea. In 2016, SLKOR registered the "Slkor" trademark in mainland China. By 2017, SLKOR’s products received RoHS and REACH certifications in compliance with EU standards. In 2018, SLKOR introduced a series of products including Hall sensors and power management chips. In 2019, the company initiated comprehensive cooperation with Tsinghua University's technology team. By 2020, SLKOR successfully transitioned its supply chain to China, achieving notable results in "domestic substitution." In 2023, SLKOR was certified as a National High-tech Enterprise and actively promoted the internationalization of the Slkor brand. In 2024, SLKOR's products passed California Proposition 65 testing and began recruiting global agents. The company plans to establish overseas offices in Singapore, Istanbul, Turkey, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. SLKOR’s vision is to become a "semiconductor leader."

 

Currently, SLKOR has two sales departments:

1. Domestic Sales Department: Responsible for managing the domestic sales team and Huaqiangbei store, including agent management, customer development, order processing, after-sales service, and technical solutions.

 

2. Overseas Sales Department: Handles sales and promotion in international markets, including establishing overseas offices, developing and managing agents, customer development, order processing, after-sales service, and technical solutions.

Kinghelm/SLKOR fosters a vibrant and creative team environment. In addition to the weekly "Star of the Week" recognition program, regular tea gatherings are held. Mr. Song Shiqiang also leads colleagues from Sichuan and Chongqing in participating in networking events organized by the "Chongqing-Sichuan Joint Semiconductor Association." Another annual tradition is the "Hometown Food Festival" that takes place at the start of each spring. The company has also formed the "Slkor Warriors Basketball Team" and the "Kinghelm Badminton Team," encouraging team-building activities through sports.
